HAP continues to support Local Units of Health Care (LUHCs) in expanding the services to be provided by the family medicine team, such as home care, implementation of protocols for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and visit appointment and planning.
Currently, in collaboration with the Operator of Health Service, HAP is conducting a series of informative workshops with specialists from LUHCs and the managerial teams of 27 Health Centers (HCs) aiming to develop an activity plan for the implementation of these interventions under the guidance of the respective LUHC.
Tirana, Durrës, Shkodra, Elbasan, Berat, and Korça are the regions that aim to expand these interventions. Meanwhile, the number of health centres that will implement these interventions has significantly increased: from 9 pilot HCs in 2021, to 22 additional centres in 2022, and 27 other health centres included in 2023.
