HAP has supported the revision of clinical protocols and guidelines for the five most common non-communicable diseases encountered in primary health care, namely: hypertension, diabetes mellitus type II, dyslipidemias, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary syndrome (COPD). For each clinical protocol, a corresponding training manual has been drafted that can be used in Continuous Education activities focused on the treatment of these non-communicable diseases.
The “Manual of health care for elderly people at PHC level” and “Guide for the management of mental disorders in PHC” are additional reference materials for the treatment and better management of these health situations in PHC, produced with HAP support.
All the above documents have been approved by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection for use by primary health care teams. HAP is supporting health authorities to scale up the use of clinical protocols and guidelines at national level.
All materials are available only in Albanian.
