During the month of October, HAP is supporting the strengthening of monitoring capacities of the Operator of Health Care Services (OHCS), Local Units of Health Care (LUHCs), Health Insurance Fund (HIF), and Health Centers for the implementation of Home-Based Care (HBC) by family medicine teams.
To this end, two-day training sessions are provided, offering a theoretical module and a practical one, during which participants gain knowledge about internal and external monitoring, planning and conducting monitoring visits, as well as quantitative and qualitative indicators and their calculation. Additionally, they are trained in the practical use of indicators to assess the implementation of Home-Based Health Care and in writing and reporting assessment findings, as well as follow-up after the monitoring visit.
The trainings are taking place in all the project coverage areas – Tirana, Durrës, Elbasan, Fier, Berat, Korçë, Shkodër, and Dibër. Participants in these trainings include specialists from regional OHCS, LUHCs, regional offices of HIF, as well as managers or coordinators of Health Centers where home-based health care is being implemented.
