The “Pema e Jetës” (Tree of Life) Foundation organised a meeting with representatives from key healthcare institutions, neurology experts, and patient rights advocates to share the findings of two reports conducted within the framework of the project “Enabling Physiotherapy Treatment for Individuals Affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Primary Healthcare Centres.” This project is implemented by Pema e Jetës and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation through the HAP project.
The two reports—The Benefits of Physiotherapy for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis and Assessment of Physiotherapy Services in Primary Healthcare Centres for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis—present an in-depth analysis of the role of physiotherapy in improving neurological functions as well as the legal framework underpinning the necessity of this service to fulfil the human right to healthcare for individuals with MS.
“Pema e Jetës” will continue its advocacy efforts to ensure that physiotherapy services for individuals with multiple sclerosis at healthcare centres are recognised as essential and receive the necessary support for implementation.
