On 10 and 11 November 2022, the 7th International Family Medicine Conference was held in Pristina, attended by primary health care professionals from countries in the region. HAP supported the attendance in the conference of Adriana Banaj, MD (Patos HC) and Kledian Deda, MD (Frakull HC) who shared with peers their experiences with the use of treatment protocols for 5 non-communicable diseases by the family doctor team. The designing and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines is supported by HAP.
The discussion focused particularly on the impact of such protocols on the improvement of the team’s communication, enhancement of the family nurse’s role in managing chronic diseases, and on the timely investigation and better management of chronic diseases.
