The up-to-date protocols on the treatment of the 5 most common non-communicable diseases in PHC, approved by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, have started to be implemented in all health center of Dibra and Fier regions. In order to ensure the monitoring of their implementation, based on the indicators foreseen under each protocol, HAP delivered the “Training in the monitoring of the implementation of protocols on 5 NCDs”, attended by teams of Local Units of Healthcare in Dibra, Burrel, Bulqiza, Fier, Mallakastra, Lushnja and regional directorates of Health Insurance Fund in the respective areas.
Following that, HAP will support the Operator of Healthcare Services and Local Units of Healthcare in drafting their respective monitoring plans, in order to encourage treatment protocol implementation so as to ensure the provision of better quality care to patients with chronic diseases.
