Albania’s healthcare system is currently undergoing a major transformation with the aim to provide high quality healthcare service for the whole population, especially the disadvantaged groups. Since 2015 the Health for All Project (HAP), funded by the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development (SDC) and implemented by a Consortium led by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) with Terre des hommes and Save the Children, is helping to promote public health in the regions of Diber and Fier. The project aims at improving the health of the people of the two regions, especially the vulnerable groups; they are to benefit from better health through improved primary healthcare service and health promotion activities.

Enhancing transparency and accountability: by implementing transparency mechanisms, accountability tools and anti-corruption strategies to improve the quality of care in a patient-focused manner.
